OUR MISSION
Sunnyside Child Care Center uses a contemporary Child Development philosophy of education, programs are designed to encourage physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth in young children. The Montessori philosophy of education teaches independence, responsibility, self-discipline, and cognitive development at the child's own pace, stressing the uniqueness of each child. Parents are involved through observation and daily parent/teacher interaction.
The Child Care Center occupies the lower level of the residential building located at the corner of Sunnyside and Winchester Aves. The center has two infant rooms and a toddler room, a total of three fully staffed classrooms. The Child Care Center is open from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm Monday-Friday.

CREATING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT

Outside doors are locked at all times.

Only authorized persons are permitted to pick up children.

Persons picking up children, even if authorized, are not admitted into the building until they have been properly identified.

Background and criminal history checks are done on all staff and volunteers prior to employment.

All Sunnyside staff are CPR, First Aid and Epi-Pen Certified.
